Dynamite
Brothers

Director:
Al Adamson
Action
Director: Lam Ching-Ying
Plot:
When a Chinese immigrate, Larry Chin (Alan Tang) travels to America
in search of his brother he finds himself being hand cuffed to a ‘bad
cat’ named Stud Brown. The dirty cops, that are under the control
of a Chinese crime lord loosing their captives. Now on the run the two
men form a bond and choose to fight back against the crime lord and
reunite Larry with his brother.
Review:
Al Adamson directs this lacklustre of a American martial arts movie
which gives off the vibes of Shaft meets Bruce Lee in this wholesome
piece of movie trash. The film is filled with comical racism, the most
dullest shoot outs, they would probably make John Woo cry and so many
goofs it actually becomes a fun game of spotting the f*ck ups.
Your
probably wondering why the hell I put myself through this, well there
is only one guy who can persuade me to watch these trash-masters –
Lam Ching-Ying! Or as he’s credited in this movie “Lam Jing-Ying”,
Mr. Vampire is not only the action director of the movie, but he also
appears in the movie on three occasions as a henchmen who usually dies
after a karate chop or two.
I
knew right away what kind of movie this was going to be when the DVD
Menu options included “Play the Movie Sucka!” and “Pick
a Scene Turkey!”
Any
notable appearances? Well towards the end of the movie Mars and Billy
Chan make short lived appearances as henchmen who get their asses whooped.
Philip Kwok has also been credited but I didn’t seem to notice
him in the movie, possibly hiding his face in shame.
Now
reviewing the movie seriously instead of thinking it’s so bad
it’s good, I would probably have to say this movie is terrible.
Bad acting, terrible gun fights, blinding pink flash backs and Bruce
Lee war crying bad guys, it can’t get any worse than this. Aviod
like the plague or if you want to piss yourself laughing, give it a
rent.
